About Paws & Presence
A few years ago, I was moving through a difficult season in my life. At the same time, my then four-year-old Pitbull, Tank, began showing more and more reactivity. He had always been full of energy, sometimes excitable in new situations with people or other dogs, but he could usually settle. This time was different. His behavior mirrored the inner struggles I was carrying.
As I devoted myself to healing—releasing guilt, growing in self-love, and letting go of the weight of the past—I realized Tank needed healing too. I had raised several Pitbulls before, but never had one shown reactivity like this. From my previous studies and inspiration from teachers like Cesar Millan, I knew his behavior was deeply connected to my own inner state.
So, I began working with Tank while working on myself. As I learned more about dog psychology and how our dogs perceive our energy and relationships, I discovered something beautiful: our healing journeys were intertwined. The more I grew, the more he transformed.
Tank and I built an even stronger bond than I thought possible. Our connection deepened into trust, harmony, and understanding. That experience lit a fire within me—a passion to help others experience this same kind of transformation with their dogs.
And that’s how Paws and Presence was born: a space where healing, awareness, and connection flow between human and dog, creating peace for both.
